Sanya Schools to Suspend Classes on September 28 Due to Typhoon Koinu

On September 27, the Sanya Municipal Education Bureau announced that, due to the impact of this year’s 20th typhoon Koinu, heavy rain and localized torrential rain are expected in the city on September 28.

To ensure the safety of all students, authorities have decided:

Boarding school students will not return to campus tonight.

On September 28, all primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, and off-campus training institutions in Sanya will suspend classes for the entire day.

During the typhoon, parents are required to fulfill their supervisory responsibilities and strictly prevent students from going outdoors. The date for resumption of classes will be announced later, depending on weather conditions.
