Hefei Metro Train Time Holiday Adjustsments

Hefei Metro will adjust operating times and train intervals during the upcoming National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday to better serve passenger demand.
Extended Operating Hours
From September 30 to October 8, all Hefei Metro lines will follow the Friday and weekend schedule for last trains. On Lines 1, 4, and 5, the last train from Hefei South Railway Station will depart at 23:55, while at central business district stations such as Sipailou, the last train will not depart earlier than 23:30.
Shorter Train Intervals
September 30 (pre-holiday workday): Evening peak hours will run from 15:00 to 20:00, with the minimum train intervals adjusted to 4 minutes 20 seconds (Line 1), 3 minutes 28 seconds (Line 2), and 3 minutes 50 seconds (Line 3).
October 1–8 (holiday period): The entire network will enter peak service earlier, starting from 10:00, with extended high-frequency service lasting over 11 hours daily, ensuring smooth travel for passengers.
Additional Backup Trains
More standby trains will be deployed across lines with optimized positioning. In case of sudden passenger surges, additional trains can be dispatched quickly. If passenger flow exceeds limits, stations may implement temporary measures such as crowd control and guiding fences. Passengers are advised to follow staff instructions and keep an eye on service updates.
“Pocket Guide Cards” for Easy Travel
To support both local passengers and tourists, stations including Dadongmen, Hefei South Railway Station, and Baogongyuan will offer handwritten “pocket guide cards.” These cards list travel routes, transfer points, and exit information in large print for easier reading, especially for elderly passengers. At Hefei Railway Station, a “Happiness+” guide service will also be available for self-pickup.
“Helping Hands” and Child Safety Measures
Metro staff will assist passengers with heavy luggage or mobility difficulties by helping carry items. At Dongqili, Caochong, and Longgang stations, families can access free “Child Safety Stickers” — parents can write their phone number on the sticker and place it on a child’s clothing to allow safe, private contact if needed.
Non-stop Public Service Kiosk
The “ShishiTong Public Service Convenience Station” at Hefei Municipal Government Service Center Station will remain open during the holiday. Equipped with five smart self-service terminals, it provides access to high-demand services such as social security, medical insurance, and real estate, as well as driving-related services like ID photos and health checks.
Additionally, Siquanqiao and Xinghuacun stations will feature “metro-bus joint waiting areas” with seating and real-time QR codes for bus inquiries, making transfers more convenient.
