Recently, reporters learned from Hefei Xinqiao International Airport that Hefei Airport, in cooperation with China Eastern Airlines, has added a new daily round-trip flight between Hefei and Shanghai Pudong, operated by the domestically produced C909 aircraft. This new route not only strengthens the flight network between Hefei and Shanghai but also provides convenient international transfer services such as “through-checked baggage”, creating an efficient global travel channel for passengers departing from Hefei.

According to the schedule, flight MU9022 departs from Hefei at 19:25 and arrives in Pudong at 21:05, while flight MU9021 departs from Pudong at 09:50 and arrives in Hefei at 11:30. Data shows that among the 45 flights operated so far, 410 passengers transferred from domestic to international flights (accounting for over 25%), and 335 passengers transferred from international to domestic flights (accounting for 22%), demonstrating the route’s strong performance in the transfer market.

As a new “gateway for Hefei to the world,” this route offers passengers efficient air-to-air intermodal service. Passengers traveling via Pudong on China Eastern or Shanghai Airlines international flights can check their luggage directly from Hefei Airport without reclaiming it during the transfer, greatly improving travel convenience. In addition, Hefei and Pudong airports have set up exclusive lounges to provide comfortable waiting areas for transfer passengers.

Currently, this route offers smooth connections to multiple international destinations operated by China Eastern and Shanghai Airlines, covering Europe, Southeast Asia, Oceania, Africa, the Middle East, and South America. Moreover, after 22:00 each day, Pudong Airport operates nearly 50 additional flights from other airlines to destinations worldwide, offering travelers an even wider range of travel options.
