This Saturday, September 27, Anhui TV will host the 2025 Mid-Autumn Concert at the Hefei Sports Center Stadium from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. With thousands of attendees expected, local authorities have announced several temporary traffic control measures to ensure public safety and smooth operations. Expats living in or visiting Hefei are advised to take note of the following information.

Road Closures and Traffic Control

According to Hefei Public Security, the following restrictions will apply:

From 16:00 (before concert begins):

Tiyuguan West Road

Yanwu Road (entire section)

From approximately 21:50 (as concert ends):

• Xiandu Road
• Kuanghe Road (between Xiandu Road and Huaining Road)
• Around 21:55 (just before dispersal):
• Xiyou Road (Huaining Road to Qianshan Road, west to east direction)

These measures mean that anyone driving in or around the stadium area should expect significant disruption.

Public Transportation Options

Authorities strongly recommend using public transportation:

Metro:

Line 3 to Bóguǎn (博物馆站) or Túshūguǎn (图书馆站)

Line 4 to Tiān’é Hú (天鹅湖站)

Shuttle Buses:

Free shuttle buses will be available after the concert at the West Gate and North Gate of Hefei Sports Center. These will connect directly to nearby metro stations on Lines 3 and 4.

Parking Restrictions

Driving is not recommended, as parking will be extremely limited. Roughly 3,530 paid parking spaces are available at nearby malls and underground garages such as Green Axis Park, Tianlong Plaza, and Weilan Business Port. These are expected to fill early.

Strict no-parking zones include:

• Tiyuguan West Road
• Lvzhou East Road
• Qianshan Road (Qimen Road–Xiyou Road)
• Xiyou Road (Jinzhai Road–Feicui Road)
• Huaining Road (South Ring Expressway–Qimen Road)
• Qimen Road (Qianshan Road–Huaining Road)

Bicycles and Shared Bikes

• Temporary parking zones: North side of Xiyou Road (between Qianshan and Huaining).
• No parking: South side of Xiyou Road and within 30 meters of intersections near the stadium.
• Shared bikes (including e-bikes): Forbidden in the area surrounding the stadium from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Officials have also issued reminders about ticket scams:

Only purchase tickets from official ticketing platforms.

Do not trust resellers or “internal contacts.”

Never share personal banking information, passwords, or codes.

If you fall victim to fraud, preserve evidence and call 110 immediately.

Advice for Expats

If you are not attending the concert, it is best to avoid the Hefei Sports Center area entirely between 4:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Major roads including Xiyou Road, Huaining Road, Qianshan Road, Xiandu Road, and Kuanghe Road will experience closures or heavy congestion.
